Senior Lecturer - University Preparation Pathways

About the role

Murdoch University is recruiting a Senior Lecturer for its University Preparation Pathways (UPP) team, which sits within the Office of the DVC (Education) and supports students' transition into higher education. This is a continuous part-time position (30 hours per week) focused on STEM and Enabling education, with a pay of $141,088-$162,403 pro rata plus 17% employer superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning across undergraduate and pathway programs, including face-to-face, online and blended formats
• Design, review and enhance curriculum, learning resources and assessment practices
• Provide academic leadership in STEM and Enabling education
• Undertake and lead research, attract research funding and supervise higher degree research students
• Build partnerships with colleagues, industry and external stakeholders
• Lead laboratory and fieldwork activities across delivery modes and campuses
• Contribute to university governance, committees and service activities

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant STEM, Life Sciences or related discipline
• Demonstrated expertise in STEM and/or Life Sciences teaching and scholarship
• Strong research record with an emerging or established national reputation
• Experience supervising students and leading in multidisciplinary academic environments
• Current and valid work rights in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available
