Senior Lead, Board Governance

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Senior Lead to support the Group Company Secretary in managing the Board Management Office. This senior position will act as a key interface with ANZ’s Board of Directors, ensuring best‑practice governance support across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Collate, prepare and distribute board and committee agendas, papers, and related documentation.
• Provide comprehensive services to directors, including pay, superannuation, expenses, travel, and induction.
• Lead process and policy improvement reviews, benchmarking against peer organisations.
• Organise board trips, visits and events, coordinating with senior advisors.
• Supply materials for ANZ’s reporting suite and assist with corporate governance projects.
• Oversee the administrative function of the Corporate Governance team, including supplier onboarding, risk reviews, invoicing and expense management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering board management services to ASX‑listed companies, preferably in financial services (APRA regulated).
• Proven ability to communicate directly with senior executives.
• Strong people‑management experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a mindset focused on growth and change.
