About the role

Infosys is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join its Sydney team. You will design and build enterprise‑grade backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot and micro‑service architecture.

Key responsibilities

Develop scalable, secure, high‑performance backend applications and micro‑services.
Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions and code reviews.
Write clean, maintainable, testable code and support production deployments.

Required profile

6+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns and clean coding.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required skills

Java 8+/11+/17, Spring Boot, Microservices.
REST API development and consumption.
Relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
Version control: Git, build tools: Maven/Gradle.
CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
JPA/Hibernate, unit testing, code quality tools.
Preferred: Spring Cloud, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure.
