Senior IT Project Manager - Application Upgrades

About the role

A leading organisation is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of application upgrade projects across a large and diverse technology landscape. This is a long-term engagement within a digital transformation program, based in Melbourne. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of multiple technology projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets, and define project scope aligned with business goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across applications, infrastructure and business functions.
• Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, and oversee testing activities including SIT and UAT.
• Manage vendors and third-party delivery partners, and support governance, funding and stage-gate processes.
• Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders and ensure delivery with minimal business disruption.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex IT projects and managing them through the full project lifecycle.
• Proven delivery experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working with senior leadership and executive teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Manufacturing or other highly regulated industries is highly advantageous.
