Senior Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Karara Mining Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join its site‑based team in Western Australia. The role will support both FIFO staff from Perth and DIDO staff from Geraldton, operating on a 5‑days‑on/2‑days‑off or 4‑days‑on/3‑days‑off roster.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to design and implement organisational initiatives.
• Lead HR investigations ensuring compliance, confidentiality and fairness.
• Support leaders in organisational development, identify gaps and create action plans.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return‑to‑work processes.
• Drive site improvements and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Develop and execute HR projects to meet operational needs.
• Coach site and port leaders to strengthen workplace relationships and management effectiveness.
• Oversee performance‑related HR matters and provide guidance to management.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior HR business partner or generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR policy interpretation.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated consultancy and coaching capability on complex people matters.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong time‑management skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
• Legal right to work permanently in Australia.
