Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Altura Learning, a digital learning provider for care professionals owned by Bolton Clarke, is hiring a Senior HR Business Partner who reports directly to the CEO. The role owns the people and culture function, acting as a trusted partner to leadership and covering the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and organisational change. It is a hands-on position in a small business of 30 people.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day HR function and drive recruitment
• Navigate employee relations matters and support leaders
• Build the frameworks, processes and practices that enable people and the business to perform well
• Provide commercially sound, practical advice and take ownership of people decisions
• Use Bolton Clarke's broader People and Culture expertise when needed

Required profile

• Experienced, commercially minded HR generalist with strong technical expertise and good judgement
• Knowledge of Australian employment legislation
• Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR operations
• Experience in a standalone HR role or a small to medium-sized organisation is highly regarded
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources
• Proactive, execution-focused, able to influence the CEO and handle difficult conversations
