Senior Housekeeper – Aged Care

About the role

Auburn House, an aged care provider and specialist mental health unit with 30 private rooms, is looking for a Senior Housekeeper at its Hawthorn East location. Two positions are available: one permanent, part-time role of 4 days per week, and one fixed-term position until June 2027, part-time on 3 days per week. The role sits under the guidance of the facility manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the housekeeping team delivering customer-focused support services for residents, including meal preparation and distribution, resident room and facility cleaning, and the resident laundry service.
• Assist with rostering and stock management, including ordering and rotation.
• Monitor cleaning and food safety compliance, documentation and auditing processes.
• Support resident choice and flexibility in meal and beverage preferences and service delivery in a clean and safe home.

Required profile

• Food Safety Level 1 (HLTFSE001).
• Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
• Experience with food handling and cleaning.
• Well-developed communication skills.
• Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one; or current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain it.
