About the role

You will join a major client in Sydney’s CBD as a Senior Consultant, designing and building custom .NET applications. The role demands deep technical expertise and the ability to propose optimal solutions for complex business problems.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain web and Windows applications using the .NET stack.
Design, implement and consume RESTful services, WCF services and MQ integrations.
Collaborate with Agile teams, participate in SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to continuous‑integration pipelines.
Write and optimise SQL stored procedures and ensure database performance.
Perform code reviews, unit testing and performance tuning.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON
SQL Server, complex stored procedures, relational database design
Unit testing frameworks (xUnit, Moq), TFS/CI tools
JIRA, Confluence, Agile/SCRUM methodology
Exposure to Cobol (mainframe), VBA, Classic ASP, IBM BPM, JRules (desirable)
