Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Healthengine is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build, maintain and support its website and micro‑services. You will join a product‑focused team that includes a product manager, designer and engineering manager, while enjoying a high degree of autonomy to expand your skill set.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, high‑performing experiences to hundreds of thousands of users as part of a product team.
• Collaborate with developers and designers to create innovative, user‑delighting solutions.
• Implement functionality across the entire technical stack following front‑end and back‑end standards.
• Break down user stories into technical tasks and plan future technical work.
• Contribute to shared code bases, standards and mentor junior/mid‑level engineers.
• Participate in the hiring process and help improve developer velocity.

Required skills

• Strong experience with a JavaScript framework, preferably React.
• Proficient in PHP or a comparable server‑side language.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Kanban or Scrum).
• Interest or hands‑on experience with AI concepts.
