Senior Full-Stack Developer – Healthcare Integrations & FHIR

About the role

Neurithum is building an AI‑powered clinical platform for Australian healthcare and aged‑care. We are looking for a hands‑on senior full‑stack developer to lead integrations, strengthen backend architecture, and bring the software to production readiness while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate APIs that connect Neurithum with clinical systems, external platforms, and Australian government services.
• Implement HL7 FHIR standards, including resource mapping, profiles, validation and clinical data exchange.
• Contribute across the full stack – from frontend workflows to databases and deployment pipelines.
• Use PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS to improve performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Prepare software for production through automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security controls and recovery planning.
• Support Australian B2G integrations, conformance testing, technical documentation and release evidence.
• Mentor junior developers, review code and guide architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Proven delivery of clinical software, EHR/EMR systems or healthcare integration platforms.
• Hands‑on experience implementing HL7 FHIR beyond theory.
• Experience delivering healthcare projects in Australia, the United States or Europe.
• Ability to take software into production and support it post‑release.
• Capacity to mentor junior engineers and communicate technical decisions clearly.
