Senior Frontend Engineer – React/TypeScript (Melbourne)

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Frontend Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑performance, client‑facing applications in Melbourne. You will work closely with backend and platform teams to build responsive, accessible interfaces that integrate with AI‑driven services and serverless cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise‑scale React/Vue applications using TypeScript.
• Define and enforce strict TypeScript configurations and type‑safety standards.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to connect UI components to real‑time streaming APIs, REST endpoints, and event‑driven microservices on GCP.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility guidelines, Core Web Vitals performance targets, and robust unit/integration testing.
• Act as a technical authority during sprint planning, translating complex client workflows into frontend architecture.
• Participate in on‑site client workshops, architecture reviews, and milestone demos in Melbourne CBD.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of professional frontend development experience delivering production‑grade applications.
• Expert‑level proficiency in React and TypeScript, including advanced generics and utility types.
• Strong communication skills in English, able to explain technical decisions to both senior stakeholders and junior developers.
