Senior Flooding Engineer (with Project Management experience)

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Senior Flooding Engineer to join its Victorian operations. You will work on a variety of flood‑related projects, from small impact assessments to large catchment‑wide mapping studies, delivering innovative solutions for both public and private sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review hydraulic and hydrological models (RORB, TUFLOW) for flood studies, impact assessments and management plans.
• Lead and manage large government and private‑sector flood mapping projects, including client liaison, progress reporting and data collation.
• Mentor and train graduate and engineer‑level team members.
• Prepare and review technical reports and flood overlays for planning schemes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in flooding and stormwater engineering within a consultancy.
• Tertiary engineering degree (Civil or Environmental). CPENG and/or RPEng (Vic) highly desired.
• Demonstrated project management and client relationship experience.

Required skills

• RORB and TUFLOW (mandatory).
• Experience with WBNM, URBS or HECRAS (advantageous).
• GIS software proficiency: QGIS, FME and ArcGIS.
