Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Qantas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its FP&A team on a fixed‑term basis. You will own the month‑end close for the Qantas Airlines segment and partner with Finance Business Partners to drive budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month‑end close process for the Qantas Airlines segment.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to build annual budgets and refresh monthly forecasts.
• Prepare and deliver regular financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Consolidate inputs from multiple business units and produce clear, actionable commentary.
• Support ad‑hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial accounting or FP&A role.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail when handling large, complex data sets.
• Self‑starter with strong analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• High level of accountability, resilience and ability to reprioritise quickly.
