Senior Finance Advisor

About the role

Airservices Australia is seeking a Senior Finance Advisor to join its Capital Portfolio Management team within the CFO Group. The role supports nationally significant aviation and infrastructure programmes such as the Built Environment, Western Sydney International Airport, Service Level Upgrade Implementation and uncrewed initiatives. You will work closely with senior leaders to provide strategic financial governance and insight across large‑scale investment portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver financial reporting, analysis and insights for portfolio‑level decision making.
• Partner with portfolio leads and project managers to provide commercial advice and ensure financial governance.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and 5‑year investment plans for OPEX and CAPEX.
• Oversee month‑end activities including reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting.
• Support business cases and capital submissions with financial impact assessments.
• Design and improve financial frameworks, tools and processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration.
• Coach teams to raise commercial acumen across project environments.

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance professional with extensive experience in financial analysis, reporting and commercial advisory.
• Proven ability to work in complex, project‑based environments and translate data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
