Senior Environmental Designer

About the role

Join an innovative multidisciplinary consultancy delivering award‑winning sustainable building services. As a Senior Environmental Designer you will work from our Sydney office, collaborating with architects, engineers and project teams across Australia and globally to embed high‑performance sustainability into buildings, precincts and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage large, complex sustainable projects, overseeing client relationships, work plans, budgets and junior staff.
• Coordinate design teams and clients throughout all project stages, from concept to delivery.
• Scope, resource and delegate technical analyses such as daylight, energy and thermal comfort modelling.
• Benchmark designs against Green Star, Living Building Challenge, WELL, NABERS and other certification programs.
• Develop sustainability visions, strategies and recommendations, and communicate them to diverse stakeholders.
• Lead workshops, contribute to client engagement, industry events and social media, and support business development activities.
• Mentor and manage junior staff, guiding their technical development and career progression.

Required profile

• Australian consulting experience in sustainability and environmental modelling.
• Proven ability to apply green building rating and certification tools.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting and client liaison.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting sustainability concepts to varied audiences.
