Senior Engineer – Ports, Marine & Coastal

About the role

As a Senior Engineer in Aurecon’s Ports, Marine & Coastal team in Perth, you will lead the design and delivery of critical maritime infrastructure that supports communities and economic growth. The role offers the opportunity to work on ports, harbours, jetties, wharves, marine terminals and coastal projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to turn complex challenges into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and solve technical problems for ports, marine and coastal infrastructure.
• Coordinate technical work packages within multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with schedule, scope and budget.
• Develop and review calculations, models, drawings, specifications and reports to meet standards and Aurecon quality expectations.
• Support resolution of delivery challenges by considering safety, constructability, operability, cost, risk and programme constraints.
• Assist with project delivery activities such as scope definition, resourcing, risk management and client communication.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline; Chartered status or progress towards it is highly regarded.
• 4‑10+ years of experience delivering ports, marine and coastal projects.
• Proven experience with marine structures, jetties, wharves, berthing, terminals, dredging, reclamation or condition assessment.
• Strong understanding of project delivery principles including scope, schedule, budget and risk management.
