Senior Engineer, Ports, Marine & Coastal

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Ports, Marine & Coastal team in Perth. You will work on high‑impact infrastructure projects that support communities and promote sustainable outcomes. The role offers the chance to lead technical work while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and solve technical challenges for ports, harbours, jetties, wharves, marine terminals and coastal infrastructure.
• Coordinate technical work packages within multidisciplinary project teams, supporting planning, interfaces and delivery requirements.
• Develop and review calculations, models, drawings, specifications and reports to meet project standards and Aurecon quality expectations.
• Address safety, constructability, operability, cost, programme, quality and risk considerations to achieve practical outcomes.
• Assist with scope, schedule, resourcing, risk management and client communication, and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Mentor junior team members and apply digital engineering tools to improve project delivery.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications and Chartered status are highly regarded.
• 4‑10+ years of experience in ports, marine and coastal infrastructure, with a proven track record of project delivery.
• Experience with marine structures, jetties, wharves, berthing, mooring, terminals, dredging, reclamation or condition assessment.
• Understanding of project delivery principles, including scope, schedule, budget, risk and change management.
