Senior Engineer - Bridges & Structures

About the role

SMEC is seeking a Senior Engineer – Bridges & Structures to lead technical delivery across a portfolio of bridge and structural infrastructure projects in North Queensland and across Australia. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to plan, analyse, design and deliver complex transport infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver bridge and structural design solutions across all project phases.
• Undertake structural analysis, design calculations and technical reviews.
• Prepare reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.
• Support project delivery to programme, budget and quality objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support graduate and developing engineers.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and technical excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Experienced structural engineer with a passion for innovative infrastructure solutions.
• Ability to solve complex engineering challenges and work collaboratively.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
