Senior Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will join Levyl’s national People and Culture team in Sydney, taking ownership of the organisation’s most complex and sensitive workplace matters. You will lead investigations, provide expert advice and partner with HR colleagues to strengthen employee‑relations capability across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex workplace investigations involving senior stakeholders, ensuring procedural fairness and legally sound outcomes.
• Provide expert guidance on conduct, grievances, performance management, disciplinary processes and relevant employment legislation.
• Manage high‑risk cases from assessment through resolution, coordinating with internal and external legal resources.
• Coach and support HR team members on intricate employee‑relations issues, building capability and confidence.
• Review, develop and continuously improve employee‑relations policies, frameworks and processes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, delivering commercially balanced advice and identifying emerging risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex investigations and managing high‑risk employee‑relations matters independently.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act.
• Exceptional written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to engage senior executives, internal legal teams and diverse stakeholders with objectivity.
• Legal background or experience as an employment lawyer is highly regarded.
