Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Mining & Resources team in Brisbane. You will support a major oil and gas client by delivering and maintaining critical gas field infrastructure, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders on electrical works for a large oil and gas portfolio.
• Lead and supervise electrical engineering project teams, providing clear technical direction.
• Build strong client relationships and guide projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to resolve technical issues and deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and manage engineers both locally and in remote locations.
• Oversee project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) electrical engineering.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Track record of managing projects in line with client policies, standards, and specifications.
