Senior Director, Private Capital

About the role

This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to design and execute a private wealth distribution strategy for a fast‑growing real‑estate private credit platform in Australia. You will work closely with a high‑calibre investment team to shape investor strategy and drive capital raising across multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Own capital raising across private wealth channels, including private banks, wealth advisers, family offices and high‑net‑worth investors.
• Drive fundraising for senior, mezzanine and structured development finance strategies.
• Develop and implement domestic and selected offshore distribution strategies.
• Build strategic partnerships with private banks, wealth management firms and investment advisory groups.
• Lead investor roadshows, presentations and direct meetings with prospective and existing capital partners.
• Collaborate with the Origination team to translate pipeline activity and portfolio performance into compelling investor narratives.
• Oversee all investor‑facing materials such as presentations, fund updates and due‑diligence documentation.
• Provide market intelligence on investor sentiment, competitive dynamics and capital flows to inform product development and broader strategy.

Required profile

• Significant experience in private capital raising with a strong focus on private wealth distribution.
• Established network across private banks, wealth advisers, family offices and high‑net‑worth investors.
• Proven track record raising capital for alternative investments, preferably within private credit or real‑estate strategies.
• Deep understanding of Australian real‑estate debt markets and private capital structures.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to distil complex investment strategies into clear investor propositions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, seniority and accountability.
