Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals and follows security best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, highly available EKS clusters, including node pool management, upgrades and disaster recovery.
• Configure Kubernetes networking, ingress, autoscaling (HPA, Karpenter/Cluster Autoscaler) and manage secrets with Vault.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible, supporting blue‑green, canary and rolling deployments.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash or Shell and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Implement observability, monitoring, alerting and logging solutions for real‑time system health.
• Analyse capacity, optimise AWS resource utilisation and balance performance with cost efficiency.
• Enforce security and compliance standards, including RBAC, network policies, image scanning and secrets management.
