Senior DevOps Engineer (Contract)

About the role

ALOIS Australia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its platform engineering team on a contract basis. The role will support clients across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, driving automation, continuous delivery and cloud infrastructure excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible and BitBucket.
• Implement pipeline‑as‑code practices, including branching, merging and code promotion.
• Configure and monitor applications with New Relic, Grafana or Dynatrace.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Groovy, Bash or PowerShell.
• Engineer cloud solutions on AWS or Azure, focusing on Linux environments, Dockerfiles and Kubernetes.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Integrate secure development and application security tooling.
• Leverage AI/Co‑pilot tools to enhance daily coding productivity.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in platform engineering and DevOps.
• Strong analytical, consulting and discovery skills.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, multi‑city project environments.
