Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation & Platform Reliability

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead automation, cloud engineering, and platform reliability initiatives for a leading Australian organisation. You will work closely with Agile delivery teams to design, build, and maintain secure, highly‑available infrastructure that supports critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Terraform and other cloud‑native tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed automated testing, builds, and deployments.
• Drive operational efficiency through self‑service capabilities and automation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise production environments.
• Implement security controls and champion DevSecOps best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies and platform improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive infrastructure and operational documentation.
• Participate in an operational support rotation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong background in designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Security‑first mindset with solid understanding of DevSecOps principles.
• Extensive Linux administration experience (RHEL preferred).
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
