Senior Designer – Product & Merchandise Development

About the role

The Monda Company is looking for a Senior Designer to lead the creation and commercialisation of souvenir merchandise collections. You will guide concepts from early ideation through to market launch, balancing creativity with commercial viability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts for new product collections that align with brand strategy and seasonal goals.
• Write detailed creative briefs for internal and freelance designers.
• Lead, mentor and provide feedback to a team of designers and illustrators throughout the product development cycle.
• Oversee design and execution of apparel, accessories, packaging and in‑store merchandising solutions.
• Manage the Master Product Development Roadmap, timelines, budgets and quality reviews.
• Research market trends, identify new product opportunities and pitch them to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with sourcing and operations teams to bring products to market.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years in a senior design or merchandise development role.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring design teams.
• Strong organisational, communication and detail‑oriented skills.
• Commercial mindset with ability to evaluate product ideas against business objectives.
• Background in merchandise design for fashion, accessories or souvenir brands.
