Senior Design Engineer, Structural

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Structural to lead the design and delivery of complex industrial, building and water‑infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Industrial Design Engineering Lead, you will own structural design packages from concept through detailed design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, commercially viable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of structural design packages for industrial, building and infrastructure projects.
• Perform structural analysis, design and technical assessments for a variety of structural systems.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, calculations and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, environmental and architectural disciplines to ensure integrated outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, quality assurance and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering structural engineering projects.
• Proven experience in industrial facilities, processing plants, commercial buildings and water infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects through detailed design phases.
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and Australian Standards.
