About the role

A highly regarded specialist practice in the Sydney CBD is looking for an experienced, confident and highly skilled Senior Dental Assistant. The position starts on a seven-day fortnight, with the option to increase the number of days worked in the future. It suits someone who enjoys specialist dentistry and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality chairside assistance
• Prepare surgeries, instruments and materials
• Maintain infection-control and sterilisation standards
• Support specialist clinicians during procedures
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and well cared for
• Assist with stock control and the smooth running of the clinical areas
• Give guidance and support to other team members when needed

Required profile

• Extensive dental assisting experience; specialist dental experience is highly regarded
• Confident assisting with complex procedures
• Excellent infection-control and sterilisation knowledge
• Professional, well presented and highly organised
• Exceptional communication and patient-care skills
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively in a busy team
• Interested in increasing working days in the future

Required skills

• Cert III in Dental Assisting preferred
• Infection control and sterilisation
