Senior CSE Officer

About the role

Transport for NSW is looking for a Senior CSE Officer in Newcastle, NSW, to work within its communication and community and stakeholder engagement teams. The role develops and implements engagement strategies, delivers consultation, manages issues, coordinates content and storytelling, and uses data and insights to strengthen participation, trust and transparency. It is a permanent full-time position that can be based at any of Transport's regional locations, with hybrid working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies across Transport for NSW programs, projects and initiatives.
• Deliver consultation activities and manage issues.
• Coordinate content and storytelling, and use data and insights to strengthen participation, trust and transparency.
• Lead inclusive, insight-driven engagement and communication activities in a complex, multi-stakeholder and politically sensitive environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, local councils, community groups and project stakeholders, ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.

Required profile

• Strong communication, community and stakeholder engagement, analytical and relationship-management skills.
• Experience in communications, community engagement, public relations, government, infrastructure or service delivery environments.
• Able to manage complex stakeholder relationships, embed engagement best practice and respond to emerging issues.
• Credible and trusted communicator who can develop and deliver engagement and communication plans and create clear, accessible content.
• Experienced in using data and insights to inform strategies and deliver consistent, high-quality engagement outcomes.

What we offer

• Permanent full-time employment with a salary range of $124,810 to $139,787.
