Senior Cost Manager – Defence & Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join an established project team in Adelaide, focusing on defence and infrastructure projects. The role involves high‑quality cost control, contract administration and commercial oversight throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts, assess and negotiate variations.
• Monitor construction progress, produce accurate and timely cost reports.
• Maintain financial records, documentation and cost databases.
• Support commercial reviews and ensure contractual compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve cost‑related issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cost Manager, Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor on construction, infrastructure or defence projects.
• Strong understanding of contract management, variations and cost control.
• Ability to monitor budgets, analyse financial data and prepare cost reports.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Australian or British citizenship (UKSV holder).

• Proficiency in cost management software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
