Senior Cost Manager – Data Centres

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Associate to lead cost management for data centre projects in Melbourne. You will be responsible for feasibility studies, cost planning, tendering, procurement and post‑contract cost control, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Produce feasibility studies, procurement reports and final cost plans.
• Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre‑qualification, tender list creation, pre‑tender estimates, analysis and contract documentation.
• Handle post‑contract cost variances, change control and progress claim assessments on site.
• Conduct cost checks, valuations and monthly post‑contract cost reports for senior management.
• Lead a cost management team where required and ensure compliance with governance and SOX controls.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost management experience, preferably in consultancy roles.
• Experience managing clients, contractors and consultants directly.
• Preferred RICS and AIQS accreditation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CostX software.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
