Senior Cost Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our Engineering & Construction team in Sydney. The role focuses on SAP project governance, cost reconciliation and portfolio forecasting to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the setup of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and full execution projects in SAP.
• Design, maintain and align Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with physical project scope.
• Configure operative indicators for time recording, procurement and cost settlement.
• Support Project Cost Controllers in month‑end reconciliation of actual versus planned costs.
• Investigate and resolve open items, ensuring accurate accruals and material postings.
• Aggregate month‑end data into consolidated portfolio reports and develop forecasts, including EAC and cash‑flow projections.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cost Controller in engineering, construction or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of SAP project modules and WBS management.
• Ability to perform variance analysis and explain cost discrepancies.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial performance metrics.
• Detail‑oriented with solid analytical and reporting skills.
