Senior Corporate Accountant

About the role

A leading ASX-listed Australian resources organisation is recruiting a Senior Corporate Accountant through its recruitment partner. The role sits in the Perth CBD head office and offers a varied position with plenty of scope for career development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports
• Manage month-end close activities, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead financial statement preparation and coordinate external audits
• Prepare technical accounting papers and give specialist accounting advice
• Analyse corporate expenditure and capital project performance
• Support treasury, cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
• Interpret and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist with remuneration reporting and statutory disclosures, and contribute to climate and sustainability reporting
• Drive process improvements, financial controls and reporting efficiencies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Experience in resources, mining, infrastructure or other asset-intensive sectors highly regarded
• Background in listed, large corporate or complex reporting environments
• Proven experience managing external audits and statutory reporting

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems capability
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
