Senior Consultant - Strategy, Financial Services

About the role

EY-Parthenon advises corporate, government and private equity clients across the full strategy and transaction lifecycle. As a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Strategy team, you will work on high-impact strategy engagements for C-suite and senior business leaders in banking, capital markets, asset management, wealth management and insurance. The position is hybrid and based in Warringah, Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of client engagement teams, advising clients on complex strategy issues across financial services
• Develop hypotheses and analyses, turning client needs into structured project tasks and client-ready outputs
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, such as market and competitor research, customer and product assessments, and strategic and financial analysis
• Support high-impact reports and presentations, synthesising findings into practical recommendations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance and at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience developing or supporting corporate strategy in financial services (banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, wealth management and/or asset management), gained through consulting and/or industry roles
• Interest in AI and technological change, with demonstrated ability to use generative AI tools in a professional context

Required skills

• Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, able to turn complex data into insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience delivering reports and presentations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
