Senior Consultant – Project Planning (Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to lead project planning and controls for major infrastructure, construction and engineering projects across Australia. The role offers hands‑on experience with scheduling, delay analysis and earned value management while working alongside seasoned industry professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Create resource‑ and cost‑loaded schedules for tenders and live projects.
• Support project controls, reporting and earned value management activities.
• Conduct delay analysis and prepare extension‑of‑time assessments.
• Monitor project performance against time, cost, resources and quality targets.
• Identify risks and provide planning insights to stakeholders.
• Assist with planning audits, reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and senior consultants.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of planning, scheduling or project‑controls experience in Australia.
• Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 (essential).
• Experience with MS Project and/or ASTA.
• Understanding of CPM scheduling and delay‑analysis principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Current driver’s licence.
