Senior Consultant – Mainframe Batch Processing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in mainframe operations to lead and optimise batch processing activities. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving the execution of critical JCL jobs across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily, weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc batch processing schedules.
• Initiate, track and control batch job execution using scheduling tools such as TWS and Control‑M.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of job failures and implement corrective actions.
• Restart and recover failed batch jobs following defined procedures.
• Collaborate with incident management teams using ServiceNow and Jira.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mainframe operations with a focus on JCL and batch processing.
• Good understanding of COBOL, CICS, DB2 and IMS databases.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive issues to resolution.
