Senior Consultant - Global Trade (Indirect Tax)

About the role

EY's Global Trade team is growing and is looking for a Senior Consultant based in Melbourne or Sydney to help shape the strategy and future of the practice. You will work closely with clients to deliver real-time insights on an increasingly complex global trade environment, within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team supported by EY's development programs.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on global trade strategy, policy development and regulatory compliance across cross-border operations
• Help clients identify and manage trade risks, optimise supply chains and unlock commercial opportunities
• Analyse impacted parts of supply chains and develop technology-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and mitigate risk
• Manage engagements, mentor junior team members and demonstrate leadership on projects

Required profile

• Commercially minded professional with experience advising on global trade, customs or cross-border regulatory matters
• Exposure to complex international supply chains and trade compliance requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset focused on client outcomes

Required skills

• Familiarity with trade-related technologies such as SAP GTS
• Data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Automation tools
