Senior Consultant - Global Mobility Tax

About the role

EY's Global Mobility Tax team, part of an international network of offices, is looking for a Senior Consultant in Sydney. The team helps clients move talent across borders efficiently and supports the development of compliant, efficient global mobility programs. This is a hybrid position based in Warringah, Sydney, and roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end mobility tax solutions: tax advisory and compliance supporting HR, payroll and mobility teams through the assignment lifecycle.
• Manage global tax and regulatory complexity for business travellers and remote workers, strengthening workforce planning and cross-border mobility.
• With global teams, advise on home and host country tax obligations, assess individual tax residency, prepare returns and equalization settlements, and ensure audit-ready compliance across employment taxes.

Required profile

• Experience building and managing corporate mobility programs in large organisations or professional services, in-house and service provider environments.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills, especially with executive-level assignees.
• Strategic insight, commercial awareness and the ability to deliver under pressure, including showcasing solutions such as technology demonstrations.
• Preferred: prior experience in Australian expatriate and personal tax, including individual tax residency, income tax, capital gains tax and employer tax and reporting obligations for employees and expatriates.
