Senior Consultant – Advisory

About the role

Thales Cyber is looking for a Senior Consultant – Advisory to lead complex Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities on large government and commercial projects. You will help clients improve their security capabilities while delivering high‑quality outcomes and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Governance, Risk and Compliance assessments, including vulnerability and risk assessments.
• Support incident response, business continuity management and IT disaster recovery initiatives.
• Develop risk assessment strategies and produce executive‑level and technical reports.
• Collaborate with IT, risk and business stakeholders to drive remediation activities.
• Maintain awareness of Thales’ broader service portfolio to enable multi‑service engagements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in GRC, cybersecurity consulting or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate with both technical and executive audiences.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ASD Essential Eight framework.
• Familiarity with the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM).
