Senior Communications Officer

About the role

The Senior Communications Officer will lead the creation and delivery of integrated communication and marketing activities that build trust, support the building and construction industry, and inform the Queensland community. Working within a high‑performing communications team, you will translate complex technical information into clear, audience‑focused messaging and ensure consistent brand representation across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write and publish engaging internal communications.
• Create clear, targeted external messaging for licence holders, homeowners and industry partners.
• Design and execute end‑to‑end campaigns, managing budgets and timelines.
• Maintain brand consistency across every touchpoint.
• Provide guidance, coaching and direction to a multidisciplinary communications team.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to make technical information accessible.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Sharp analytical thinking to navigate complexity and prioritise competing demands.
• Proven experience in senior communications or marketing roles within regulated or government environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
