Senior Coastal Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced Senior Coastal Engineer to join its Perth‑based Ports & Marine team. You will lead the planning, design and delivery of major coastal and maritime projects across Australia and internationally, providing technical advisory services on complex coastal environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver coastal engineering projects through feasibility, concept, front‑end engineering and detailed design phases.
• Design and assess coastal protection structures such as breakwaters, revetments, seawalls and related assets.
• Apply coastal engineering principles to develop resilient, sustainable infrastructure solutions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including structural, civil, marine and geotechnical specialists.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and client deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Coastal, Civil, Ocean Engineering or a related discipline.
• 9‑12 years of industry experience delivering coastal infrastructure projects, especially in ports.
• Proven experience across concept, feasibility, FEED and detailed design phases.
• Strong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Chartered status or progress toward professional accreditation is highly regarded.
