Senior BMS Engineer - Niagara N4 Certified

About the role

A leading Building Automation and Smart Buildings specialist delivering major commercial, healthcare, data centre and infrastructure projects across Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior BMS Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will design, programme, commission and support complex BMS installations while providing technical leadership to junior engineers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer BMS solutions for major projects
• Programme and commission BMS and integrated building systems
• Develop graphics, control strategies and system architectures
• Integrate HVAC, electrical, lighting and energy management systems
• Provide technical support during project delivery and post-handover
• Troubleshoot and optimise existing BMS installations
• Mentor junior engineers and guide the wider team
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors

Required profile

• Niagara N4 certification (essential)
• Extensive experience with the Tridium Niagara framework and its technologies
• Proven experience delivering and commissioning large-scale BMS projects
• Strong understanding of HVAC controls, mechanical services and building automation systems
• Experience integrating third-party systems and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and MQTT
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Australian working rights and a current driver's licence
