Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor who values quality, client relationships, and work‑life balance. You will join a modern firm that embraces AI‑driven audit technology and offers genuine 9‑to‑5 hours, with the busy season occurring March‑June.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior auditors.
• Review team work and provide constructive feedback.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the audit process.
• Attend client meetings and act as a trusted point of contact.
• Manage workflow, budgets and engagement deadlines.
• Prepare and review audit documentation to a high technical standard.
• Identify risks and communicate issues proactively with Directors.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve audit quality, efficiency and client service.

Required profile

• Approximately 4+ years' experience in external audit within Australia.
• Qualified accountant preferred.
• Experience leading audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Previous experience supervising junior staff.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, organised and client‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
