Senior Auditor (Brisbane)

About the role

As a Senior Auditor you will work with a diverse client base that includes ASX‑listed companies across sectors such as mining, technology, financial services, property, education, health and not‑for‑profit. Based in the Brisbane CBD office, you will collaborate with partners, directors and managers who bring extensive audit expertise, and you will travel to client sites as required.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients on audit and accounting queries.
• Collect and document audit evidence for material balances and transactions.
• Draft annual financial reports.
• Plan, execute and document audit procedures, including statutory audits.
• Assist senior staff with ad‑hoc assignments.
• Review work papers prepared by junior audit staff.
• Perform additional assurance engagements as needed.

Required profile

• Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting.
• Completed CA or CPA qualification.
• At least 3 years of external audit experience, preferably in a mid‑tier or top‑tier audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/AASB, Australian Auditing Standards and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive client management and relationship‑building abilities.
