Senior Auditor – Brisbane

About the role

As a Senior Auditor you will work with a diverse client base that includes ASX‑listed companies across sectors such as mining, technology, financial services, property, education, health and not‑for‑profit. Based in the Brisbane CBD office, you will collaborate with partners, directors and managers while travelling to client sites for weekly or fortnightly engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients on audit and accounting queries.
• Collect and document audit evidence for material balances and transactions.
• Draft annual financial reports.
• Plan, execute and document statutory audits in accordance with general purpose financial reporting.
• Assist senior staff with ad‑hoc assignments and other assurance engagements.
• Review junior audit staff work papers and ensure quality.

Required profile

• Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of external audit experience in a mid‑tier or top‑tier audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/AASB, Australian Auditing Standards and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
