Senior Associate / Special Counsel - Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

HWL Ebsworth, Australia's largest legal partnership, is looking for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its growing Construction & Infrastructure team in Adelaide. Since establishing the team in 2022, it has built a substantial practice advising on major projects and complex disputes across infrastructure, energy, property and development, acting for contractors, consultants, developers and government agencies on front-end, project delivery and contentious matters.

The role suits a commercially minded construction lawyer with strong technical skills and commercial judgment, who takes ownership of significant matters, works directly with partners and clients and develops expertise across a broad range of construction and infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of post-admission experience
• Proven construction law expertise
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters and deliver high-quality drafting and advice
• Ability to supervise and mentor more junior lawyers
• Full working rights in Australia and a valid practising certificate
