Senior Associate, NFR Governance and Reporting

About the role

This senior position sits within ANZ's Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) Framework governance team. You will ensure the NFR framework is applied consistently across the organisation, monitor its effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen risk and control practices.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to design, uplift and embed sustainable NFR framework practices aligned with enterprise and regulatory expectations.
• Integrate risk requirements into business processes in a practical, efficient manner that supports customer outcomes and process re‑engineering.
• Translate data insights and framework guidance into business language, supporting implementation and providing feedback to operational risk leadership.
• Identify, measure and monitor data risk and data‑quality issues that affect business decisions, and work with data teams to triage NFR concerns.
• Influence and monitor the effectiveness of the NFR framework with upstream and downstream risk and control owners.
• Advise the business on improving NFR framework adherence, capture controls, risk, issues and events.
• Cascade and support monitoring of RAS and indicator metrics to ensure meaningful risk and control effectiveness monitoring.
• Prepare risk analysis, insights and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Act as a trusted partner to Line 1 and Line 2 stakeholders.
• Promote high‑quality decision making by providing clear guidance and escalating gaps or outliers in non‑financial risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business teams and embed risk requirements into processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
