Senior Associate, Institutional Research & Analysis

About the role

As a Senior Associate in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at ANZ, you will manage the full lifecycle of institutional customer relationships, from origination to portfolio monitoring. Your core focus will be credit risk assessment, financial and industry analysis, and maintaining a well‑managed portfolio while meeting customer needs within the bank’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep client and industry analysis to identify business and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Lead the end‑to‑end credit management process, including origination, transaction structuring, risk grading, credit approval, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
• Apply strong credit and risk assessment skills to structure and execute complex transactions with Relationship Managers, Product Partners and Institutional Risk teams.
• Perform industry‑specific research and ongoing portfolio management.
• Drive efficiencies across policy, process, systems and risk, supporting the digital agenda within FIG.
