Senior Associate - Construction Projects, Brisbane

About the role

Clayton Utz is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Brisbane Construction Practice, a tier-one ranked construction practice. The role involves working closely with front-end specialists on a diverse range of matters, including large, high-profile and complex construction and infrastructure projects, for public and private clients across energy and resources, renewable energy, transport and commercial development. Applicants with experience in construction, projects or finance, or a combination, are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a successful and impactful team working with a variety of clients on significant projects in Queensland.
• Assist clients with procurement processes.
• Prepare and advise on the full spectrum of delivery models across industry sectors.
• Gain exposure to high-profile work in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympics.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar senior associate level position.
• High-quality private practice experience and/or exceptional experience working in-house within the government, construction or projects industry.
• Experience in construction, projects or finance, or a combination of these.
• Resilient, self-starter who can work autonomously and pays close attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong academic ability and drafting skills.
• Ability to provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice.
• Proactive approach and ambition in a dynamic, supportive, fast-paced team.
