About the role
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join a highly regarded Commercial Law team in Adelaide. The role suits a Senior Associate or experienced Commercial Lawyer looking for the next step in their career. You will work alongside respected practitioners, manage a diverse portfolio of commercial matters, build strong client relationships and help mentor junior lawyers and grow the practice.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of commercial law matters from inception to completion
- Provide commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documentation
- Advise clients on business acquisitions, disposals and restructuring
- Assist with business structuring, asset protection and governance
- Prepare and advise on joint ventures, partnerships and shareholder agreements
- Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with Partners on complex and strategic matters
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff
- Take part in networking, business development and client engagement
- Ensure effective file management, risk management and compliance
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in Commercial Law
- Experience advising clients across a broad range of commercial matters
- Proven ability to manage matters autonomously and deliver practical solutions
- Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers is highly regarded
Required skills
- Strong technical legal knowledge and commercial acumen
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
