Senior Associate, Audit & Assurance

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team. In this role you will lead statutory audits for a diverse portfolio of public listed, private and not‑for‑profit organisations, delivering insights that add value beyond compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute independent statutory audits for listed and unlisted companies, proprietary entities, associations, not‑for‑profits and government bodies.
• Prepare complete and accurate audit work papers in line with Grant Thornton’s global methodology.
• Identify and report financial risks, ensuring client financial statements comply with statutory requirements.
• Analyse financial statements, investigate complex technical issues and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in an audit and assurance environment.
• Full CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong client relationship and communication abilities.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
